Make-Ahead Cranberry Eggnog Bake (Christmas Breakfast Casserole)

There’s nothing better than waking up on Christmas morning and enjoying a delicious breakfast after opening presents. Of course, everyone is lazy since it’s a holiday. That’s when you turn to a make-ahead recipe! This Cranberry Eggnog Bake is perfect for Christmas morning. You can prep it the night before and bake in the morning (when everyone is opening presents).

This Make-Ahead Christmas breakfast casserole is a sweet Cranberry Eggnog Bake! Prepare the night before and bake in the morning for a delicious and sweet brunch idea. #ChristmasBreakfast #ChristmasRecipes #EggnogRecipes #CranberryRecipes

It’s a breakfast casserole that can be made ahead of time! You can pop it into the oven and spend time with the family while it bakes. If you do your prep work the night before, and it’s easy. I love the moist texture and the cranberries give it a nice holiday touch. You can really smell the allspice while it bakes and it fills the air with that Christmas scent.

Everyone always asks me for this recipe because it’s just easy and simple. You don’t have to go overboard when you’re trying to enjoy the holidays too. The fresh cranberries add a festive touch and it’s a delicious brunch that you’ll make year after year on Christmas morning.

I love using fresh cranberries during the holiday season. It’s the only time of the year that you can purchase them at the store. That makes it extra special to me. I stock up on 3-4 bags of cranberries and even freeze what I don’t use. They add so much color to festive holiday recipes and they’ve got the nice tart flavor. You really notice it in this Cranberry Eggnog Bake.

What To Serve With Your Cranberry Eggnog Bake

You really don’t need to serve anything with this make-ahead casserole, but I like to add some choices of breakfast meats. Bacon, turkey and sliced ham are nice additions to this recipe. Of course, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee are always welcomed as well. The kids enjoy my Slow Cooker Nutella Hot Chocolate recipe for the special occasion.

Can You Freeze The Leftover Cranberry Eggnog Bake?

Unfortunately, this type of casserole doesn’t freeze well. The moisture of the bread doesn’t work well in the freezer. Since it makes 8 servings and we always have a few people who want second helpings, we typically don’t have leftovers.
